This may be the intro to a beautiful story of chance, tears, relationships and success. It could just as well be the scam you think it is.
Most of the time, in real life, it’s somewhere in-between.
Someone approaches you with a proposition. It holds promise and might be viable. You choose to explore it. After testing the waters you commit to the deal and boom! a new business partner.
Great news, you’ve increased capacity and this new partner will bring in the big bucks, or so he promises. There is nothing wrong with that. Everyone was good-intentioned. Everyone also made some rather rash assumptions about a very unpredictable future.
A partnership should be just that. Greater than the sum of its parts. Until that is proven, it cannot be considered as such. Here are my thoughts on what that entails.
