In the midst of these challenging times, opportunities begin to emerge. The sands of time are shifting, revealing rare gems previously inaccessible.

As with any opportunity, it might be good, but it is not necessarily beneficial.

We often use ROI or opportunity cost to determine the validity of such opportunities. On most days, that would be sufficient. Alas, these are uncertain, ambiguous times. It requires that we consider the unintended consequences and sustainability.

Is it in line with our unique value proposition?

Can we add value?

Does it excite us? (Speak to our passions?)

Do we have the appetite to do the work?

If an opportunity seems easy, it’s either a scam, or you don’t know what you are getting yourself into. Pays to figure out which one it is, quickly.
