Hope.
It’s a new day. Unscripted (although it may not seem like the case right now) and full of potential. Perhaps the opposite is true for you and my sunny disposition is downright irritating and unreasonable.
If our hope is vested in things getting better, or situations improving we have made a gross miscalculation. Not because they won’t, but because we have hitched our wagon to an engine that we cannot predict or control. We risk our resilience and our ability to continue hoping tomorrow.
Place your hope on what you can do instead. How, despite the challenges and constraints, are you able to live out your life purpose? How can you express that which births fulfilment in the depths of your being? Therein, hope springs eternal, igniting it in others.
Such a lifework is reason enough to get up every morning, no matter the weather.
