Don’t build your house on the sand. This age-old wisdom resonated for centuries. Dubai had no choice. It’s all they have. So they found a way. They sunk pylons deep into the sand, creating enough friction on enough surface area to support the tremendous weight.

If a desert is all you have, sow what grows there.

It’s foolish to expect yields of maize when you sow thistles. It’s foolish to expect yields of any kind when you stop sowing.

In these times of crisis, it’s easy to sow negativity and desperation. It yields only bitter fruits.

Don’t be defined by your desert. Let it inspire you instead.
