It’s not easy to face it. When the odds are not in our favour and we face an uphill battle, staying positive is the first hurdle.
It might help to remember that odds are reactive interpretations of history. They are not pro-active predictions of the future. Odds do not define your destiny, your talent, your idea or your resilience.
At best, odds just tell us how easy something is. This should serve as an effort barometer. Unimaginable ones should inspire us to work harder, iterate faster, and get creative.
Easy things do not distinguish people. We all eat, most of us drive, a fair portion speaks a second language. Very few successfully steer a business through a global economic meltdown.
