In the absence of an express purpose, even evolutionary approaches would suggest that your survival depends on, not necessarily doing something better than everyone else, but doing something valuable that no-one else can. Finding such a ‘competitive advantage’ would ensure your survival.

I would venture that such a thing if it existed, is likely to be found at the intersection of your passions, unique abilities, learned skills, and education. If you took all the things in your toolbox and put them in a blender, what soup would that make?

Probably, you are the only person in the world who could make it. Now all you need is to find a market for your special soup.

NB: If the flavours don’t work well together, it’s not a failure, it’s your development plan. (We’ll just call it a spicing problem.)
