don’t slow it down. You’ve worked hard to overcome the inertia. It takes much more energy than seems logical. You’ve finally done it. The ball tends to gain speed quickly. This could make you uncomfortable.
Thus far, the journey has been predictable. Stationary balls are easy to estimate and plan for. Once they get going, certainty disappears. This might encourage you to pursue the certainty and predictability from before. If you slow it down too much, you have to start over.
