Our bounciness reflects our ability to harness an impact force and return it to gain distance or altitude. Rigid expectations tend to create a dampening effect resulting in a thud. A big shock with a poor transfer into useful energy.

Flexibility accommodates a temporary discomfort, a bending out of shape, to absorb energy for channelled, intentional redeployment in service of our objectives.

Too much of either will reduce our bounciness.

Finding the balance between structure and give enables maximum returns.
