Any climber will tell you this is the most basic, and most important quality for successful climbing. Your strength or ability is of little use if you are not able to use it.
And so, for all these grand aspirations of scaling walls, you are dependent on the ability of every finger, individually, to secure your mass and channel your movements.
This is unfortunate since most aspiring climbers starting out might prefer something like, do many pull-ups. Turns out, like most things in life, more power is not the most efficient fix if by some miracle it doesn’t break something.
It doesn’t matter that you have all the power in the world if your drivetrain cannot put it on the ground.
What is the pinky you have been ignoring? Fix that and you will find more progress than all you power gets you. (It’s usually cheaper too – not easier though.)
