Dead Weight

Also known as sunk costs. You could keep lugging it around hoping it will pan out. Really it’s just sucking up energy and creating distractions.

It’s hard to let go when you have been dragging it along for a while. We all seek finality. Closure. Dropping the weight half-way means giving up. It’s an acknowledgement of failure.

Keeping the weight is an exaggeration of failure. There is great freedom in letting it go. For one, it opens up space for stuff that really can make a difference.

Delay is not hope, it’s denial.
