When you enter it you will discover all my flaws and failures. If you spend the time to look deeper, you will uncover the beauty in the flaws and the logic in the shortcomings.

Proximity tends to manifest in these two ways. When it’s superficial it breeds frustration and contempt. It highlights differences and accentuates contrasts. It polarises and separates. When it is intentional and personal, it breeds tolerance, compassion and understanding. It celebrates that which binds us together. It highlights the beauty in the nuances.

Our experience of other peoples’ space is less a consequence of their behaviour, and more a result of our expectation.

Choose to look for beauty and significance.

Don’t move on until you do.
