We like to think that our future self would do most of the talking. Provide sage advice, give winning lottery numbers or tell us what the best choice is for the large decision we now face.

Most time travelling fantasies play out this way. Mostly because we wish we could take the uncertainty out of tomorrow. We would much prefer the sure thing.

Our future self has discovered that life happens between the lines. The great mysteries of life are the compost that nurtures the growth in our lives. It is on this canvass of uncertainty that possibilities roam.

Possibility is the father of creativity.

I suspect instead my future self would talk less and question more.
