When your best just isn’t good enough

Yet. It’s not good enough yet. Not because you do not have the potential. Not because what you have to offer is not valuable. Simply because you still have important lessons left to learn.

We fall into a comparison trap very easily. When we do, we often compare someone else’s chapter 20 to our chapter one. It’s not a useful exercise. It makes me feel inferior and negates the benefit the other person absorbed from countless failures and challenges.

You might not be good enough now. Fortunately, your best can get better. It requires just enough commitment, sacrifice and resilience to prove that getting better at it is more important to you than all your excuses.

Not being good enough is not a failure, it’s an accolade.
