Most of us follow, create and enforce it every day. It’s a collection of choices that define what is acceptable. Our choices create the standard. These choices may, or may not conform to the guidelines set by society.
Your company policy of fairness and respect means very little when your sales team chase their targets to the detriment of customers. Intentions of integrity and honesty are irrelevant if we choose to compromise when we overstep.
Traffic laws don’t mean anything when people start to ignore them.
Rules don’t determine culture. Choices do.
It only takes two. The first one, and the second that follows in approval.
