As an entrepreneur trying to gain access to a market surrounded by barriers they tend to not get us too excited. Barriers look like work. They are. This discourages us from pursuing the opportunity and to look for something easier instead.

This is exactly what every other entrepreneur does. The easier stuff ends up being very crowded.

It’s like going to your favourite rock concert. Barriers separate the Golden Circle from General Standing. We pay more for Golden Circle because our experience is so much better. You could pay less and settle for general standing. This only makes sense if you want the average experience, or if you are taller than everybody else.

Barriers create competitive advantage. It’s useful when you are short.
