We often see the value statements of organisations. It’s considered as one of the must-haves of successful companies. For many, this is just a collection of cliches.

Shared values create the foundations of trust. They ignite efficiency in agreements due to a shared understanding of expectations. Shared values enable accountability.

Values on the wall or the web page serve as reminders of hypocrisy and wishful thinking.

Don’t tell me your values, let me see them for myself.
